We went here on 6th Jan for capybara feeding experience with my husband and 6 years old daughter, it was amazing and so much fun. The park is very big and equipped with great kids attractions for any age group really. Lots of animals and nice food offerings inside the barn. Friendly staff. We couldn’t get our daughter out of the big indoor playground in the end. Great family time!
This was our first visit to Hobbledown Heath having been members at Hobbledown Epsom for a year. We managed to get in for free as there is an offer for the whole of August where you just pay for the parking (£1 per hour).
The feel is very similar to the Epsom site with the usual features of climbing frames, soft play, animals and bouncy air and water cushions.
Lots of extras too including zorbs and archery and in addition just outside the site (operated by a different company) - Dinosaur Crazy Golf and Zip Lining.
The main difference was the outstanding softplay area which was enormous and all easily accessible (and enjoyed) by adults as well as the kids. Much better than the Epsom version and on our visit, fairly quiet and not too crowded. We found a table for our things with ease and enjoyed a good hour or so on the equipment.
We went on a very hot day so found it hard going outside but that said the play areas are excellent as they are at Epsom but sadly no sign of the collectible 'gems' that are scattered at the Epsom site. Perhaps these will be introduced on the future.
On a random note, if you happen to love aviation and planes (like me) then you will be treated to all of Heathrow's incomings or outgoings at very close quarters! I've included some of the planes in the photos!
We will definitely visit again, it is just a shame that we need to drive 1hr 20mins to get there.
Such a nice place for the families ! We spent Halloween there and we liked it so much.
We first walked and visited the outdoor amenities and games; and saw the animals.
Then we came inside for this huge place with a lot games for kids of all ages.
Good point : we can eat at the restaurant inside
Good point 2 : the nice decorations of Halloween everywhere on the site
Hopefully, we’ll come back for spring or summer to enjoy more the outdoor activities
Kids Party - after previous good experiences of attending Hobbledown Heath for other kids parties we organised our sons 6th birthday here. Some issues with booking the party online (they had system issues) that were relatively easily resolved after a couple of calls.
Positives - loads of space for the kids to play indoors and outdoors. They could happily spend hours in there which is great for adults as the kids happily entertain themselves. The food which is served for the party (pizza) is tasty. The area you given for the party was clean and well set up. Cafe downstairs offers opportunity to set up tab for adults coffees etc.
Challenges- we are asked to arrive 20min before the start of our party so we could set up (balloons/banners etc). We were given our area 5min before the start of our party session. You are allocated a 'party host'. Ours didn't show until 20minutes into the start of the session. Host engaged with us on a very limited basis and we found ourselves chasing them constantly when we needed things. Table was not cleared after kids ate the pizza, as wanted the table space for cake cutting. Party food menu limited. We ordered additional pizzas for the adults. Some didn't not arrive and have had to email for a refund.
We went to Hobbledown heath today to see Santa and feed the reindeer.. all staff were brilliant- especially the elves 🧝🏻♀️ Elf Joy was especially sweet ❤️ the 6 children in our group had so much fun and it helped us all into the Christmas spirit! Don’t recommend the pizza but chicken goujons were good 😊 …
Pricey day out, definitely not more than a once a year visit.
Pro's
Kids had fun, wasn't busy, easy to follow layout (you don't need to bother with a map), nice little animal selection
Con's
Standard entry tickets are pricey
You have to pay EXTRA for many of the other activities (such as zip line and net park).
You have to pay £1/hr for parking
Poor and pricey food choice
They don't accept cash
Tips
Not buggy friendly, you need air filled tyres otherwise you will be cursing
Bring your own lunch and drink, there's a water fountain you can refill your bottle.
There's a costa coffee machine
Your kids will get wet and get sand everywhere, bring a change of clothes and sand sandals, maybe even sand toys- spade/bucket.
The net park looked like it would be fun, the zip line looked very slow, not very high and just a bit boring.
The chicken is halal
No kosher food available
Surprisingly awesome venue with one of the best indoor soft plays we’ve ever seen.
Outdoor area is totally worth it as well with tonnes of animals and play areas. Food is fine and only slightly outrageously priced :)
Really awesome day with the kids. Indoor play area is large and has a number of different break out bits, like baby area and gaming area. Outdoors there a farm animals, falconry, play areas and wet play. The kids loved it. Food wise not …
